For tabletop game designers
Reprint only the game cards you changed
Updating a card game prototype after a playtest? Compare the old and new versions of your card spreadsheet, saved as CSV files, and print replacements for just the cards you changed or added.
For example: in a 100-card deck, edit five cards and add two. Print those seven replacements instead of the whole deck.
Plain-text prototypes: prints card titles, rules text, and a shared text back. Existing artwork and custom card layouts are not preserved.
Private by design: CSV files are read in this browser tab and are not uploaded.
Step 1
Choose two CSV revisions
UTF-8 CSV, up to 500 cards and 1 MB per file. Keep a stable ID column such as id in both files. Quoted commas, quotes, and line breaks are supported.
Step 2
Review the changes
Step 3: Prepare replacement sheets
Sheets use 6 mm page margins and 1 mm gaps. Cards stay in fixed grid positions on the last partial sheet. Duplex backs mirror the columns for long-edge flipping.
Some text exceeds its card area and may be clipped. Shorten it before printing.
Print to PDF or paper: in the print dialog, choose Actual Size or 100%, turn off browser headers and footers, and use long-edge duplex. Test one sheet first. Printer alignment varies, so this tool cannot guarantee front-to-back registration.
Load or paste two CSV revisions, then compare them to see card changes.
About this tool
From your game spreadsheet to replacement cards
Keep one row per game card in your spreadsheet, with columns such as id, title, and body for rules text. Export a CSV before editing and another after editing. Keep each card's ID the same in both versions so the tool can match it, even if you reorder the rows.
The comparison matches rows by the chosen ID, even when rows move or columns are reordered. It checks every column name in both revisions and reports additions or removals in the schema. Edited and new cards start selected; removed and unchanged cards stay off the print list.
Choose the new CSV's title and text columns, then enter one shared back for the deck. Each printed front and back carries its stable ID. The first version prints text fields and one shared text back, with visible cut borders. It does not preserve a custom card design or artwork.
Browser printing can create a PDF through the system print dialog. Page layout follows the selected paper size and card dimensions, but household printers vary in how they feed and align paper. Print one sheet and check it before printing a larger replacement set.
